hey there, friends!! i live in a rather small place (basically, i have one room to myself and then a shared communal space). i’ve had two dreams in my young adult life– a nice, planted shrimp/goldfish tank, and an herb garden. naturally, i have the space for one of these– but i think i would be able to maintain both in a small space in the form of an aquaponic garden on top of my demure little 20 gallon tank. i wanted to ask some more knowledgeable folk first, though– is this plan feasible? will having both under water plants and the little herbs floating above harm my fish or be difficult to maintain? any advice will help, thank you!! submitted by /u/atlasmaggot
