This was one of my more wacky ideas, but I was sick of management of our pump tubes. Each iteration we’ve done has consisted of at least one split in a pump. We have loads of ball valves that are either stuck or leaky that have gotten us this far but it’s time. All gate valves! The next time we need to do maintenance we just shut off that portion. Gotta clean the crayfish tower? Shut off that valve. The pump needs cleaning? Switch to the backup pump! submitted by /u/PlantWingFarm
