This particular rose started as a rescue. It was almost dead when I picked it up off the curb. It was rootbound in a small, plastic pot. I cut it back to about an inch of the roots, washed them clean of soil, and split the plant into four separate plants.
One didn’t make it. Three survived, thrived, and then sort of just stopped growing. They stayed healthy, but there was very, very little new growth.
And now one of them has decided to bloom!!! I’ll post more pics as it opens. The fish in my setup are guppies, and I have a drain-flood, bell siphon growbed. So this rosebud is a gift from the guppies!!! 🙂
